Earlier there was no provision for a commission under the ARTPS Act , 2012. Thereafter with the Amendment made in the year 2019 formation of Assam State Commission For Right To Public Services was incorporated, provided that till constitution of the commission the Assam Administrative Tribunal will exercise the powers and functions of the commission.Accordingly the Assam State Commission For Right To Public Services was formed on 8th March 2024 by amending the principal act.
